MPS associates is proud to announce the latest release of Preactor for QAD. The bidirectional Preactor for QAD interface, developed by MPS and approved by QAD, provides for a seamless two-way exchange of information between the host QAD ERP system and the Preactor Advanced Planning Software solution.
Preactor for QAD is aimed specifically at QAD’s target markets and includes the Preactor 400 APS software and MPS' bidirectional integration with the QAD enterprise resource planning system. Preactor for QAD’ will help those existing and future users of QAD in need of detailed scheduling and optimised sequencing in their production facilities. This empowers the planner. It automatically generates optimized schedules for production based on business objectives and the real constraints of the production process and provides unparalleled visibility on what will happen in the future – a crystal ball for the plant.
Typically, QAD ERP exports a list of operations that need to be completed to produce all new and existing demand. Preactor for QAD creates the optimized plan that defines which tasks are completed, by which production resource, at what time. It then updates the QAD ERP system with the confirmed production schedule, revised route, sequence and timings.
Preactor for QAD’s sequencing engine provides additional functionality over and above QAD’s capabilities. For example drag and drop interaction with the Gantt Chart, multiple constraints such as machines, tooling, operators etc for each operation, attribute based sequencing for example to minimize changeover time, complex scheduling rules and dependencies between producing and consuming orders.

Project scope also consisted of interfacing QAD with the corporate SAP financial system and an outsourced third party logisitics company. Our extensive background with QAD ERP solutions for Life Sciences and vast experience in the highly regulated medical device world were primary factors in the clients decision to use MPS for this important project. |

MPS has recently assisted a Pennsylvania based multisite contract packager of pharmaceutical products with the migration of their existing QAD MFG/PRO 8.6™ ERP system to version Enterprise Applications 2007.1™ of the package. A highlight of our involvement was the client’s usage of the MPS proprietary MFG/Validate Toolset to assist them with the FDA computer system validation of the data migration and new QAD based ERP system. To increase their level of customer service for existing customers, AlfaWassermann has integrated key information/functionality from their existing QAD ERP system with the SalesLogix CRM software package solution. This will enable their salesforce to see and react to all service calls, accounts receivable, and credit issues as soon as they happen in order to serve their customers better. MPS Associates recently developed a custom set QAD MFG/PRO™ ERP system related training videos for ATCC. These videos demonstrate MFG/PRO™ navigation, functionality, custom functionlity and ATCC specific processing steps. The videos have been well received by the user community and have become a standard part of the initial training program administered by ATCC's IT department.
